A deliberative body for the government’s effort to reform financial industry, Financial Reform Committee was officially launched. It comprises of 19 members-6 from the academia; 5 from the financial sector; 4 industrial, economic, and IT experts; and 4 experts related to pension and taxation. The committee is a private body that deliberates measures for financial reform.
The committee held its first meeting on March 24, Wednesday with the presence of 19 members, FSC Chairman, and FSS governor. At the meeting, professor Min Sang-ki from Seoul National University was chosen as chairman of Financial Reform Committee who will take the chairmanship for one year starting from today.
